Conflicts before they are any
Overlaps it reports as they are entered — not the morning after. And when it proposes a time itself, it keeps the estimated drive before and after free.
OCTOVO reads and writes your calendar via Apple Calendar, Outlook, Google or CalDAV, finds free slots and keeps form of address, role and history for every contact. When it proposes times, it factors in an estimated travel time.
Calendar and contacts
Create, move, estimate the drive in between. OCTOVO reads and writes the calendar you already use: Apple Calendar, Outlook/Microsoft 365, Google or CalDAV. No second calendar.
It creates appointments and moves them, spots overlaps before they become one, and proposes free times to others without you passing your calendar around.
Before it proposes a time, it estimates the drive in between — on your device, from a postal code table shipped with it, without an address ever leaving your device. An appointment at 9:30 with 25 estimated minutes of travel means, for it: the morning is taken from 9:05, not from 9:30. An estimate is not a route: it knows the straight line and a detour factor, no traffic jam and no roadworks — and OCTOVO says so every time. If it does not know the place, it does not calculate; it keeps the fixed buffer free and tells you why.
If it moves an appointment for you, it then stands in your calendar as “moved, unconfirmed” — until the other side has agreed. If someone declines, or the appointment has passed, it removes the mark again; two days ahead with no answer, it tells you.
One morning
The day runs from the overview through mail and appointments to the end of the day.
Overlaps it reports as they are entered — not the morning after. And when it proposes a time itself, it keeps the estimated drive before and after free.
It names three times that are genuinely free and holds them until they are accepted or declined.
Evenings, weekends and holidays from your profile are off-limits for proposals unless you say otherwise.
Contacts
Address, role, history — as readable sentences.
Each card says who’s on first-name terms with whom.
Everything here comes from your own mail and your corrections. It lives on your device, and you can change or delete every line.
Limits
The connection clicks into the mailbox.
Connecting happens through your own account: Microsoft 365 and Google with one click, Apple Calendar and CalDAV through the device. OCTOVO creates no second account and no address book of its own.
Confirmations to known contacts it sends itself from “Balanced” up. The first message to a new contact always comes to you first — even on autopilot.
It cannot delete appointments for good without you. Cancelled appointments stay visible, so you know what fell through and why.
