OCTOVO

OCTOVO edits Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PDF, text and images directly on the original, quietly saves a version first and collects recognised invoices in folders that go to your accountant at the end of the month.

Files

It works on the original — and you can still go back

The “Files” window re-enacted Re-enacted Files window: two filed documents, a new receipt arrives marked “just filed”. Below, the note that everything lives in your own working folder.

Edit Word, Excel, PDF — every version one click back. There is no “OCTOVO copies” folder that ends up holding three versions of the same quote. It edits the file you have anyway. Before touching it, it quietly sets the previous state aside.

Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PDF, text, Markdown, CSV and images. Merge, split, fill in and sign PDFs; crop and convert images. Text recognition runs on your device.

On top of that sits a full-text search across everything it knows. “Where was that confirmation about the €4,200 again?” becomes a question, not half an hour.

Receipts

One month, five steps, one sentence at the start

Recognise, collect, forward to your accountant. You say it once: “When an invoice comes in, collect it until the end of the month and then send everything to my tax adviser.” After that, the month runs like this:

Summe des Monats geht am Monatsende weiter

The month’s total moves on at the end of the month.

  1. On 14 July, 8:12 a.m.

    The invoice arrives

An email from Telekom with a PDF attached. OCTOVO reads the attachment and recognises invoice number, date, net, tax rate and gross.

  2. One second later

    It gets filed

The file lands cleanly named in the receipts folder: 2026-07-14_Telekom_84,90EUR.pdf. The receipt moves into the “Invoices July” folder.

  3. In the evening

    You learn the total

No alert per invoice, just a daily total. Whatever doesn’t belong, you throw out with one click.

  4. On 31 July, 6:00 p.m.

    The folder moves on

An archive with all receipts plus an overview table — date, supplier, net, tax, gross, category — to your accountant.

  5. Before sending

    You approve

This one email always goes through your approval, whatever level is set: it contains money figures and other people’s data.

What you throw out of a folder, it remembers as a rule — “Amazon order confirmations aren’t invoices to you”. Invoices paid twice and payment reminders it recognises and puts in front of you, instead of quietly collecting them along.

Way back

Every earlier version is one click away

verfällt

What is filed away expires over time.

  • Every touched file carries its history: when, why, what it said before. One click on “Restore this version” is enough.

  • Deleted files sit in the trash for 30 days. OCTOVO cannot empty it — that is built that way on purpose, so that a mistake of its own is never final.

  • Which folders it may see at all is up to you. Everything else doesn’t exist for it, not even when searching.

Limits

It sorts. Deciding is yours.

No tax advice.
It recognises, reads out, sorts and adds up. Whether something is a business expense, your accountant decides — and it says so.
Nothing unnoticed.
Every change to a file stands in the log with time, occasion and reason. Including the cases where it wasn’t allowed to do something.
Nothing final.
Deleting for good stays with you, whatever level is set. Renaming and moving, the version history takes back.
